Overview
The 300W Pulse Laser Cleaning Machine is the mid-tier in our industrial cleaning catalog, built around the JPT YDFLP-CL-300-13-A source. The 300W steps up from the 200W in two key ways: 13 mJ maximum pulse energy (versus 200W’s 5 mJ, more than 2.5x higher peak energy per pulse), and a narrower minimum pulse width of 80 ns (versus 200W’s 2 ns minimum). The combination means the 300W delivers more energy per pulse at slightly longer pulses, which is optimal for heavier rust and paint layers where the contamination needs more energy per shot to fully ablate.
Production buyers reach the 300W tier when the 200W’s 5 mJ pulse energy becomes the cleaning bottleneck. Practical workloads at 300W: heavy industrial rust (200-500 micron oxide scale), thick paint coatings (multi-layer industrial finishes), oxide layer removal from cast iron parts, marine industry rust restoration, restoration of agricultural machinery and heavy equipment, and pre-coat preparation on large industrial surfaces.
What you get from JPT Laser Shop: a verified JPT YDFLP-CL-300-13-A source with traceable serial, handheld cleaning gun, control console, DDP shipping with customs and duties paid for US, Canada, and EU buyers. Note that the 300W tier uses a 24 V DC supply (different from the 200W’s 48 V DC) which is a JPT spec quirk for the cleaning catalog. What this machine can do
Heavy industrial rust removal
200-500 micron oxide scale on heavy industrial parts, agricultural machinery, marine equipment. The 13 mJ pulse energy handles thick rust layers in fewer passes than 200W.
Thick paint coating removal
Multi-layer industrial paint finishes, marine paint, agricultural equipment paint stripping. The higher pulse energy strips thicker coatings in fewer passes.
Cast iron oxide layer removal
Foundry cast iron parts, engine blocks, industrial castings. Higher pulse energy needed because cast iron oxide scale is denser than steel oxide.
Marine industry restoration
Boat hull restoration, marine equipment rust removal, dock and harbor infrastructure cleaning. Saltwater corrosion is heavier than fresh-water rust and needs the higher pulse energy.
Agricultural equipment restoration
Tractor body and frame restoration, harvesting equipment rust removal, agricultural machinery refurbishment. Heavy-duty restoration workloads.

Practical guidance: choose 300W when 200W’s 5 mJ pulse energy is the bottleneck on heavier rust or thicker paint workloads. The 300W’s 13 mJ peak energy is the inflection point where industrial-grade cleaning starts. Step up to 500W for restoration of multi-millimeter thick coatings and the heaviest industrial work. What’s in the box
- Handheld cleaning gun (operator-controlled, safety interlock)
- Fiber delivery cable (5 m length)
- Control console (parameter adjustment)
- Wavelength-matched safety glasses (1064 nm)
- Region power cable (220 V AC input required)

- Warranty registration (terms confirmed at order)
Operating workflow
Same workflow pattern as the 200W cleaning machine: parameter set on console, operator wears safety glasses, handheld gun positioned at 5-15 cm working distance, sweep across contaminated surface. The 300W’s higher pulse energy means slower sweep rates are tolerable on heavy contamination because more energy per shot does the work.
Parameter tuning at 300W is more demanding than at 200W because the higher pulse energy can mark or damage the base metal if settings are too aggressive. Plan 3 to 5 days of hands-on practice for parameter recipes on your specific contamination types.
Shipping and delivery
Lead time: 3 to 4 weeks factory build. The 300W cleaning source has lower production volume than the 200W tier.
Shipping: Free DDP to USA, Canada, EU 27. Free shipping rest of world. The 300W cleaning machine is significantly heavier than the 200W because of the larger source (~110 to 130 kg shipping weight). DDP transit is approximately 30 days by sea freight to US and Canada or 20 days by rail freight to EU 27, with customs and import duties included in the price. CIF air freight is available worldwide at 12 to 15 days transit if you prefer faster delivery and handle customs clearance yourself.
Crate: lift-gate delivery strongly recommended at this weight. Full freight terms on the shipping policy page.
Warranty

30-day defect return window applies. We cover return freight in original crate when a defect is confirmed by engineering. Full text on the returns and warranty page.
Frequently asked questions
Why does the 300W have higher pulse energy but narrower pulse width range?
JPT designed the CL-300-13-A specifically for heavy cleaning, where the high-energy long-pulse regime is optimal. Short pulses (sub-80 ns) are useful for fine-detail marking but not for industrial cleaning where you want to deliver maximum energy per shot to a wider area. The 200W tier keeps the 2 ns minimum pulse width because it serves lighter cleaning workloads where shorter pulses can be useful for delicate surfaces.
Why does the 300W use 24V DC versus 200W’s 48V DC?
JPT spec quirk; the CL-300-13-A internal architecture is optimized at 24 V DC for the higher pulse energy operation. This is a published JPT specification, not a machine-design choice on our end. The 300W consumes 1500 W average versus 200W’s 800 W (much higher), drawing more current at the lower voltage.
What’s the practical throughput on heavy rust?
Highly dependent on rust thickness, base material, and surface geometry. Rough rates for medium-heavy rust (200-400 micron oxide scale): 10-30 square centimeters per minute at production speeds. The 300W finishes typical industrial equipment restoration jobs roughly 50-70% faster than the 200W on heavy rust workloads.
Is the 300W appropriate for automotive restoration?
For heavy restoration projects (old vehicles with thick rust and paint), yes. For typical automotive paint stripping or light rust, the 200W is more economical and provides the necessary capability without overkill. The 300W shines on heavy-duty restoration where 200W cycle times are too long.
How long until delivery?
6 to 8 weeks total. Factory build 3 to 4 weeks; DDP transit is approximately 30 days by sea freight to US and Canada or 20 days by rail freight to EU 27, with customs and import duties included in the price. CIF air freight is available worldwide at 12 to 15 days transit if you prefer faster delivery and handle customs clearance yourself.
Are duties really included?
For US, Canada, EU 27, yes. DDP shipping covers customs duties and import tariffs. Outside DDP zones, free shipping but customs is your responsibility.
Production deployment notes
300W cleaning machine buyers are heavy industrial restoration shops, marine industry contractors, agricultural equipment refurbishers, and industrial maintenance operations. The 300W is the practical “industrial-grade” cleaning tier where output justifies the capital cost. Email us for a workflow consultation if you’re sizing between 200W, 300W, and 500W cleaning tiers.
