Find the laser by the job, not the spec‑sheet

Start with what you need to do, whether that is cleaning a surface, marking a part for traceability, personalizing a product, or processing glass, and we route you to the machine and the verified settings that do it. Every guide is written with real specs and honest limits, never hype.

01 · Surface prep

Surface Prep & Laser Cleaning

Strip rust, paint, coatings and contaminants with no media, no chemicals, and no damage to the base metal.

15 guides

Pulsed JPT CL fiber sources ablate the unwanted layer and stop at the substrate, so you skip the grit, solvents and disposal that come with sandblasting or chemical stripping. Best fit for production shops cleaning steel, alloys and tooling at volume. Honest limit: on thick, heavily caked coatings a single 200W pass is slower than blasting, so you size up to the 500W tier or accept multiple passes.

02 · Traceability

Industrial Marking & Traceability

Permanent, compliant part IDs (data matrix, VIN, UDI, MIL-STD-130) that survive the part's whole life.

16 guides

Authentic JPT M7 fiber sources put readable, corrosion-proof codes into metal and engineered plastics for compliance and supply-chain tracking. Best fit for regulated manufacturing in aerospace, automotive, medical and electronics. Honest limit: fiber marks metals and most plastics beautifully, but clear glass and heat-sensitive packaging belong on UV (see the materials group below).

03 · Personalization

Personalization & Niche Businesses

High-margin custom work: full-color MOPA, deep engraving and fast turnarounds on metal products.

15 guides

A 20W to 30W JPT MOPA gives you the pulse control for black-and-color annealing on stainless and titanium plus crisp deep marks on tumblers, blades and jewelry, the workhorse of a personalization business. Best fit for makers and shops selling branded or one-off metal goods. Honest limit: MOPA is built for metals and coated goods; raw wood and leather are a CO2 job, which is outside this catalog.

04 · Sensitive materials

Glass, Ceramics & UV

Cold-process the materials that crack, melt or char under an ordinary laser.

10 guides

UV 355nm and JPT M8 fiber sources work by photo-ablation and ultra-fine focus, so they mark glass, ceramics, silicon and thin films with almost no heat. Best fit for electronics, medical and cosmetic packaging, solar, and premium glassware. Honest limit: these are precision, lower-throughput processes, so for plain steel part marking the standard fiber group is faster and cheaper.
