The 350W MOPA M7 is the flagship of our no-prefix M7 fiber laser galvo line, built around an authentic JPT Opto-Electronics M7 source designated YDFLP-350-M7-M-R. At 350 watts of average power with MOPA pulse architecture, this is the machine you choose when production volume, depth of mark, or thicker thin-metal cutting demands the top of the catalog. The MOPA architecture retains independent control over pulse frequency (1 to 4000 kHz) and pulse width (2 to 500 ns), so even at this power tier you still have the fine-pulse control needed for color marking on stainless and for production-line consistency.
Production buyers at this tier are doing the work where lower power either becomes the throughput bottleneck or simply cannot reach the depth required. What this machine can do
At 350W with M7 pulse control, the application range is the broadest in our galvo catalog. Five canonical work types:
Deep engraving on hardened steel and cast iron
Reach 0.5 to 1.0 mm depth in a production-feasible cycle. Mold cavity relief work, tool serialization, hardened-steel branding, and traceability marks that must survive surface finishing and heat treatment.
Thin metal cutting up to 1.5 mm

Heavy industrial valve and flange traceability
Cast iron data matrix codes and serial numbers on thick valve bodies and flange faces. Deep, wash-resistant, survives outdoor service in water, oil, and gas pipelines.

The duty-cycle margin at 350W lets you run a production line without throttling. Date codes, lot numbers, vector logos, and serialized variable text at line speed on metal parts.
Tool, die, and mold marking
High-contrast permanent marks on hardened tool steel where the part will be machined or heat-treated further. The mark stays visible after subsequent surface processing.
What 350W is not the right tool for: ultra-fine color repeatability on stainless (the 100W or 30W MOPA M7 with their tighter M² of < 1.4 are better for boutique color work), glass or heat-sensitive plastic marking (use a UV laser instead), and sheet metal cutting thicker than ~3 mm (use a CNC fiber cutter). At 350W you are buying production depth and throughput, not boutique precision.

The jump from 200W to 350W is 75% more peak average power, which translates into significantly faster cycle times on deep work, not a 75% deeper mark. No optional head upgrades at this power tier — the 350W ships with the water-cooled Feeltek 2D scan head as standard (the 2.5D and 3D heads are not used at 350W).
Software and upgrade options
This machine ships with a water-cooled Feeltek 2D scan head and EZCad 2 software included on USB. At this power tier there are no 2.5D or 3D head upgrades — the 350W runs the high-power water-cooled 2D head as its standard configuration.

The standard configuration covers all flat-surface 2D marking applications. EZCad 2 is the most widely used fiber laser control software in production environments, with full support for variable text, serialized marking, photo engraving, vector imports, and TCP/IP and I/O integration for production lines. LightBurn is supported via a USB adapter that ships with the machine for operators who prefer that workflow.
Marking area by lens
The included lens choice determines the marking area on the workpiece. Every JPT machine ships with two lenses of your choice from the standard set; the 175 mm lens is included by default unless you specify otherwise at checkout.

Shorter focal lengths give finer beam spots and higher detail resolution at the cost of a smaller marking area. Longer focal lengths cover more area at the cost of slightly softer detail. Most production shops run two lenses (one shorter, one longer) to cover the working range without swapping mid-job.

Shipping and delivery
Lead time: 3 to 4 weeks from order confirmation. The 350W source has a slightly longer JPT factory lead time than smaller tiers; every machine is calibrated and tested before crating.
Shipping: Free DDP to USA, Canada, and the EU 27 with all customs and import fees included in the price you see. Free shipping for the rest of the world; the buyer handles customs and import fees through their broker. DDP transit is approximately 30 days by sea freight to US and Canada or 20 days by rail freight to EU 27, with customs and import duties included in the price. CIF air freight is available worldwide at 12 to 15 days transit if you prefer faster delivery and handle customs clearance yourself. The 350W crate is heavier than smaller machines (machine plus crate is approximately 75 kg shipping weight); pricing already reflects the heavier freight.
Crate handling: curbside drop-off is standard. We strongly recommend ordering lift-gate or inside delivery on a 350W because the crate weight is at the upper limit of what most receiving facilities can handle on a standard truck. Warranty
The 350W MOPA M7 includes a 3-year warranty on both the JPT M7 source and the machine, the highest tier in our warranty matrix, applied to all no-prefix M7 and M8 fiber galvo machines. The warranty covers manufacturer defects, source failure not caused by misuse, and the machine’s control electronics and assembly. Software updates are free for the lifetime of the machine.
Return terms: defect-only, 30-day window from delivery, technical confirmation by our engineering team. Capital equipment at the 350W tier has a longer factory build cycle which means inventory cannot be re-allocated to a different buyer after a confirmed return; this is why the policy is defect-only and not “change of mind”. Frequently asked questions
Is 350W still air-cooled, or do I need a chiller?
Air-cooled. JPT specifies the YDFLP-350-M7-M-R as air-cooled at this power tier, and no external chiller is required. Ambient temperature should stay within 0 to 40 degrees Celsius, which covers any normal production environment.
How much electricity does this draw?
Maximum power consumption is under 1200 W at 48 V DC. At a typical 8-hour production shift, 250 working days per year, and US average electricity at $0.15 per kWh, that works out to roughly $360 per year in electricity for the laser source itself. For most industrial buyers this is rounding error compared to the labor savings from the higher throughput.
What thickness of metal can it cut?
In practical production: stainless steel 0.5 to 1.5 mm, brass 0.3 to 1.0 mm, copper 0.3 to 0.8 mm, aluminum 0.3 to 0.8 mm. The galvo geometry limits cutting speed and depth even at 350W; for production sheet metal cutting above 3 mm you want a CNC fiber laser cutter, not a galvo. Our incoming CNC fiber cutter range starts at 1500W and goes to 6000W.
Will this do color marking on stainless steel?
Yes, but the 100W or 30W MOPA M7 is a better choice if color marking is your primary work. The wider beam quality of the 350W source (M² less than 1.6 versus less than 1.4 on the 100W) means slightly less repeatable color hue control on stainless. The 350W still produces color but is not the tier we recommend for boutique color jewelry or watch components.
Which JPT M7 variant is this?
The no-prefix M variant, model YDFLP-350-M7-M-R per the JPT Opto-Electronics product code, with traceable serial numbers. Some distributors sell what they call “M7” machines that contain an E-series source (a lower-tier chassis from JPT). We do not. The model number is published on this page and on the source ID plate; you can cross-reference it directly with JPT.
What is the realistic timeline from order to crate arrival?
Plan on 6 to 9 weeks total. The 350W M7 source has slower factory turnover at JPT than the 100W and 200W tiers (lower production volume per quarter), so factory build takes 3 to 4 weeks.DDP transit is approximately 30 days by sea freight to US and Canada or 20 days by rail freight to EU 27, with customs and import duties included in the price. Does DDP cover customs fees at the 350W price point too?
Yes. DDP is consistent across our entire catalog regardless of price point. The listed price includes ocean and ground freight from China to your address, customs clearance through CBP (US), CBSA (Canada), or the relevant EU member state authority, and any tariffs or VAT due at entry. Freight cost on a 350W crate is higher than on smaller machines, and that is already factored into the listed price. For rest of world: free shipping, customs is the buyer’s side of the transaction.
Does the same 3-year warranty apply at this power tier?
Yes. The 3-year warranty applies to all no-prefix M7 and M8 fiber galvo machines in our catalog, including the 350W. Source plus machine are both covered. The JPT M7 source is rated for 100,000 hours of continuous operation; the warranty covers manufacturer defects and source failure not caused by misuse.

The 350W M7 is the tier where industrial production buyers settle when they have outgrown a 100W or 200W machine on throughput or depth. We do not publish a specific customer reference for this SKU yet; named customer stories at the 350W tier are coming as those engagements reach the publication stage.
